Gov. Alia Makes New Appointments To Parastatals, Agencies

The Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, has approved some appointments into different parastatals in the state.

This development is in furtherance of the governor’s commitment to repositioning all institutions of government for optimal service delivery, efficiency, and accountability, as dosclosed in a statement made available to DAYLIGHT REPORTERS on Saturday, 5th July 2025 in Makurdi.

The new appointees were carefully selected based on their track record of competence, dedication, and integrity, according to the statement.

The governor congratulated them and charged them to justify the confidence reposed in them by discharging their duties diligently and in line with the administration’s vision of transforming Benue State.

The present acting executive secretary, Teaching Service Board and the Acting chairman, Benue Internal Revenue Services are both directed to report back to the head of service for reassignment of other responsibilities, while the acting general manager, Benue State Environmental and Sanitation Agency, BENSESSA, is to report back to the governor’s office.

The appointees are Professor Qrissturberg Msughter Amua, Vice Chancellor, Benue State University of Agriculture, Science, and Technology BSUAST, Ihugh; University Registrar, Dr Johnson Ijale Echor; University Librarian, Dr Demakaa Umbur; University Librarian, Mr James Ormye, Bursar.

Others are Mr Joseph Kwaghgba, Acting Chairman, Benue Internal Revenue Services, BIRS; Hon. Bem Tseen, Acting Executive Secretary, Teaching Service Board, TSB; Dr. Anta Igbaato, Acting Executive Secretary, Benue State Environmental and Sanitation Agency, BENSESSA; Professor Ode Boniface Ogbu, Provost, College of Education, Oju; and Dr Tyodoo Iyue, Provost, College of Education, Katsina Ala.

The appointments takes effect from Monday the 7th July 2025, according to the statement.
