The Nigerian Army 6 Brigade Jalingo, Taraba State, says it will commence its year 2024 Annual Range Classification Phase 2 on Tuesday 17th to Thursday 19th September 2024 at the Military Range in Jimlari.

Olubodunde Ooni, Acting Assistant Director, Army Public Relations of the 6 Brigade, made the announcement in a statement on Tuesday in Jalingo.

“The shooting exercise will be undertaken by unit personnel to enhance their weapon handling and maintenance ability amongst others.

“During the exercise, there will be massive movement of troops and equipment including firing of live ammunition at the Military Range. Consequently, members of the general public are advised not to panic as adequate measures are already in place to ensure safety of lives and properties.

“They are further informed to stay away from 114 Battalion Rear Jimlari Shooting Range area throughout the period of the Exercise.

“In view of this, you are please requested to kindly disseminate this information to the general public using your medium. It would be highly appreciated if the information can be translated in various local languages.

“Please accept the assurance and esteemed regards of the Brigade Commander Kingsley Uwa.” The statement reads.
