More commendations have continued to trail President Bola Tinubu’s appointments of party members from across the six geo – political zones in the country into boards, commissions and agencies.
The lastest came from the All Progressives Congress (APC) Councillorship Candidates Forum 2024, Akwa Ibom State, which described the appointments especially, those from the state as well deserved and encouraging.
Chairman of the forum, Engr. Destiny Isidore Norbert and Secretary, Mr. Ekomobong James in a statement jointly signed and made available to the media in Uyo, commended Mr. President’s gestures towards the appointees.
The appointees include; Ms Usoro Offiong Akpabio, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO), South – South Development Commission (SSDC), Dr. Nkereuwem Ebong, Akwa Ibom State representative and Ms Rachael KufreAbasi Nse as South – South representative, North East Development Commission (NEDC).
The group expressed their profound appreciation to President Tinubu on the appointments and subsequent swearing – in of Chief (Dr.) Saviour Enyiekere as Chairman, National Assembly Service Commission.
The forum, in the same vein appreciated the South – South Grand Leader of the party and Senate President, Godswill Akpabio for facilitating the appointments of illustrious sons and daughters.
The forum, during their meeting mid-week at the State party Secretariat, Ekpo Obot Street, Uyo resolved to remain steadfast in their support to the party, and urged members not to despair in mobilizing support for the realization of President Tinubu and Senate President Godswill Akpabio’s re-elections in 2027.
They called on the Senate President and Grand Leader, Akpabio to also look in the direction of the party’s Councillorship Candidates Forum 2024, by extending boards/commissions appointment and empowerment to them, as those holding forth APC in the 329 wards of Akwa Ibom State.
