Police Rescue Kidnapped Gombe Housewife, Brother-in-law
Police in Gombe State have rescued a housewife and her brother-in-law who were kidnapped by unknown gunmen recently in Dukku local government area of the state.
The woman identified as Amina was said to be a wife to one Alhaji Sambo Umar Shabewa while Alhaji Mustapha Umar Shabewa is the brother in-law.
The kidnappers burgled the houses of the victims to abduct the husband but having discovered he was not around, they carted away his wife and younger brother.
But DAYLIGHT REPORTERS gathered that the hostages regained their freedom on Monday.
Spokesperson of the Gombe State Police Command Mahid Muazu Abubakar who confirmed the release of the victims said it was as a result of intense operations carried out by the police in the area.
