A youth group in Gombe State, ‘The Gombe Youth Discussion Circle’ has commended what is described as “relative peace in the north east, praising the National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, for his efforts.
The group in a press release issued to our correspondent on Friday by its spokesperson, Ibrahim Usman, said before the advent of the new national security adviser who is from the north east, the zone had been facing resurfacing atrocities of the terrorists.
According to him, “Nuhu Ribadu has demonstrated strong leadership, intelligence, and strategic thinking in the fight against insecurity.
“Our people in the north east have begun to experience peace after years of fear and destruction caused by Boko Haram.
“This is possible due to practical, inclusive, and solution-focused approach introduced by the National Security Adviser which has led to a decline in terrorist activities and restored hope in affected communities”, he claimed.
They argued that aside the Boko Haram, bandits’ activities have also reduced drastically compared to the past years.
“On behalf of the Gombe Youth Discussion Circle, we proudly pass a vote of confidence on Malam Nuhu Ribadu. His achievements within a short period show that Nigeria is moving in the right direction in terms of security under his watch,” the statement stressed.
