2025 Europe Day: Nasarawa State Government Identifies with European Union, Promises More Bilateral Ties

Nasarawa State Governor Engr Abdullahi Sule has congratulated the European Union on the celebration of this year’s Europe Day.
Represented by his Senior Special Assistant on Liaison Office Abuja, Yusuf Jibrin Maiangwa, Governor Sule who was at the Congress Hall of Transcorp Hilltop Abuja said the European Union had been playing a significant role in developing Nigeria’s Economy.
In a brief discussion with the European Union Ambassador to Nigeria and ECOWAS Mr Gautier Mignot, Maiangwa expressed Governor Abdullahi Sule’s commitment to welcome European investors to the state particularly on technology transfer, Agriculture and Mining where the state has a comparative advantage.
Responding to Governor Sule’s request, Mr Mignot assured of his readiness to visit Nasarawa State in July for bilateral talks.
During the event the governor’s representative who was accompanied by his deputy director, Admin and protocol, Abdulhamid Musa Tanko, and the special assistant to the Executive Chairman of Karu Local Government Area (LGA) on Abuja liaison, Hajiya Fati Karu, held talks with the USA Ambassador to Nigeria Mills Richard, who promised to visit Nasarawa State soon.
According to Ambassador Mills, the United States of America would look at possible ways to support the development initiatives of Governor Abdullahi Sule.
The 2025 Europe Day was well attended by Diplomats, Minister of Women Affairs Imaan Sulaiman Ibrahim and the Minister of Budget and National Planning Senator Atiku Bagudu who represented President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as well as the vice chancellor Nasarawa State University Keffi Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman.
